Dear Parents,
Thank you for the privilege of having your son or daughter involved with the UCM Navigators! We are glad you’re taking the time to learn about us. Read on for more information on the UCM Navigators and check out our "ABOUT US" page for more info on the UCM staff and more information about the Navigators. As you look around this special parents section, as well as the rest of our site we hope you will get an overview of what we do and what we believe. Be sure to read what some prominent leaders in today’s society have to say about the Navigators.
When your child first mentioned to you that they were involved in the Navigators organization on campus, you probably had a lot of questions. You may have wondered, who are the Navigators? What do they believe? The UCM Navigators love students and value the opportunity to invest in your child’s life while they are in college. These years are formative, as students wrestle with what they believe and how to live. We believe the Bible has answers that will help them become responsible leaders. With a vision for the world and a heart for the individual, we are seeking to help raise up disciples of Jesus Christ and train them to “pass on their lives” to others. Our goal is to see students move toward maturity in Christ (Colossians 1:28) and become laborers for the Kingdom of God (Matthew 9:37).
If you have any questions or if we can serve you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me at brendan@ucmnavs.org or (660) 591-6897. Again, Thanks for trusting us to invest in your son or daughter during this critical chapter in their lives.
Sincerely,
Brendan Riggs, Campus Director of the UCM Navigators

Quotes about the Navigators from parents and well-known ministry workers:
Quotes from Parents
“Our son, Tim, became involved his freshmen year with an organization called ‘Navigators.’ Who were the ‘Navigators’? An obvious concern was ‘cults.’ Was this one? In due time, all of our concerns were alleviated. We have spent time with many of Tim’s Navigator friends, and we have yet to find one we didn’t like and/or admire.”
- Bob and Susie Bastian
Member, Pennsylvania House of Representatives
“Our son was a member of a Navigators group, and he benefited greatly from his relationships with the well-trained Nav staff members, who provided wise counsel in decision-making and often welcomed students into their home.”
- Thomas and Carla Mockabee
Vice President and Publisher, Bible Group, Zondervan Publishing Company
Ministry Worker Quotes
"On a scale of one to ten, I place The Navigators as a ‘ten’ among para-church ministries today. In my college days, The Navigators taught me the value of a disciplined life. In our Crusades, they developed the unsurpassed follow-up methods we use today. Thank God for The Navigators."
Rev. Billy Graham
"Close enough to comfort or confront, to replace self with Christ, to strip away the thin veneer of religious talk and plant roots deep in the Christian walk. That's the stuff of which The Navigators are made and that's the stuff that changed my life."
Dr. Charles Swindoll
"The older I get the more Scripture I want to know by heart. It's one of the best ways I know of to get ready to meet Jesus face to face. Scripture memory is one of the great strengths of the Navigators. The most influential teacher I ever had was deeply stamped by the Navs when he was in the Navy. That makes me a Nav grandchild. I love that Bible-saturated heritage."
John Piper, Pastor for Preaching and Vision, Bethlehem Baptist Church
